A common question I get before people book a headshot session with me is what format will my images be in?
I’m happy to provide your final images in JPG format. This ensures they are easy to use across various platforms. JPG’s work for LinkedIn, your company website, social media, or print materials. They are high-quality files and optimized for versatility and convenience. Other formats are also available but most people are happy with JPGs.
Why JPG?
JPG (or JPEG) is the most accepted image format. It offers a perfect balance of quality and file size, making it ideal for online use and quick sharing. Most websites, job application portals, and social media platforms accept JPG files. That means you won’t have to worry about converting your images before uploading them.
Multiple Crops for Your Needs
I understand that different platforms have specific image size requirements. That’s why I’ll provide your headshot in multiple crops. There will be an original crop which is a hi-resolution version perfect for printing or general use. A square crop, ideal for Instagram, company directories and other social platforms. There is also a portrait sized crop.
No Extra Work Needed
With pre-cropped options, you won’t need to resize or edit your images before uploading them. If you do need something unique just ask. I’m certain it won’t be a problem.
Other image formats asked for are PNG files which are files with the background removed. These are good if your images are being used in marketing materials.
